What's Ahead for CSFS amidst COVID-19?

June 29, 2020

Today marks 105 days of living in a COVID 19 environment, where our regular ways of being have been greatly impacted. While Britain has discovered an existing steroid which seems to produce promising results in suppressing the virus for critical care patients, we still don’t have a vaccine. At CSFS, we continue to follow all Provincial and Federal Public Health guidelines. While the BC Province has opened the economic engine during these unprecedented times, Carrier Sekani Family Services continues to provide essential services following the health guidelines. We will continue to take every precaution until we get a sense of what the impacts have been as a result of opening the economy.

Our individual programs have submitted draft plans to resume some face to face services on an individual basis, where we can ensure maintenance of safety precautions at all times. Once finalized and approved, program plans will adhere to the overarching strategy developed by our emergency response committee. Our overarching strategy meets or exceeds all regulations. We will we do all we can keep each other and CSFS community members safe.
