Research Data Management (RDM) refers to the processes applied throughout a project's life cycle to guide the collection, documentation, storage, sharing and preservation of data resulting from research and other scholarly or creative work.
The CSFS Research Data Management Strategy outlines institutional supports to ensure researchers have the necessary information and resources to develop and execute data management plans, meeting conditions of the Tri-Agency or other research agreements, compliance requirements, cultural considerations, and retention requirements.
CSFS is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of RDM throughout the research data life-cycle. We strive to provide our researchers with an environment that fosters and supports world-class RDM practices. Central to this commitment are the eight guiding principles derived from the First Nations Data Governance Strategic Framework:
For Organizational Support or Inquiries, you may contact the Director of Quality and Innovation. The director will provide guidance and support regarding compliance with research policies.
The Tri-Agency Research Data Management Policy supports Canadian research excellence by promoting sound Research Data Management and data stewardship practices.
