Language & Culture Program

The Language & Culture program works to instill pride in Carrier Sekani culture and promotes a knowledge sharing platform.

 

About the program

The program encourages Knowledge Holders to act as mentors and pass on teachings through storytelling and engaging communities in land-based survival teachings. The program works to make language and culture more accessible for the 11 member Nations CSFS serves. 

 

Who we serve 

Programs are available to all CSFS member Nations and include services for children and youth, parents, Elders and Knowledge Holders.

 

Services we offer

Services support participation and learning in cultural teachings, traditional activities and traditional territory connections. Activities include:

  • Children/Youth Camps
  • Cultural Fish Camp (Children in care, children not in care, parents, Elders, knowledge holders)
