Primary Care

The CSFS Primary Care program provides our community members with basic day-to-day care provided by health professionals, including family doctors, nurse practitioners, public health nurses, pharmacists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, etc.

About the Program

CSFS has a group of dedicated Physicians and Nurse Practitioners who service our communities through a holistic approach to care, meeting a wide variety of needs. We provide medical services through an Indigenous lens, and also provide numerous culture centred programs and services to complement our Primary Care medical services. Our doctors, Nurse Practitioners and other primary care health staff receive training on culturally relevant approaches to health care to ensure that our patients receive health services that meet their unique needs.

One of our new CSFS Departments is Health Promotion and Physical Activity. We are excited to work with Community to provide physical activity, fitness, and sports programming to individuals, families and groups. To find out more about how physical activity can improve your overall health, or to learn more about our physical wellness community programs, please contact our Physical Literacy Coordinator, Dana Thorne at 672-983-7877 or email, dthorne@csfs.org.
