CSFS Seeking Advisors for Board of Directors

Carrier Sekani Family Services is seeking three new advisory roles on our Board of Directors, each designed to help the Board of CSFS make the best decisions they can for the Nations served. Advisors provide unique perspectives specific to their age and stage of life and ensure that diverse lived experiences are part of decision-making discussions and processes.

Each role will be responsible for providing input into the strategy and planning of organizational structure of the society and advise on policy and practice to enhance the health and well-being of member Nations.

If you're passionate about making a difference, these roles might be perfect for you!

Elder Advisor
Bring wisdom and experience to our board. As an Elder Advisor, you'll offer invaluable guidance and ensure that our strategies honour and reflect the rich heritage of the Nations we serve. Your voice will help bridge the gap between tradition and innovation.

Urban Representative Advisor
Help us navigate the complexities of urban life. This role focuses on addressing the needs and challenges of city environments. If you have a deep understanding of urban dynamics and are driven to create solutions for city dwellers, we want to hear from you.

Youth Advisor
Be the change for the next generation. As a Youth Advisor, you'll bring fresh perspectives and energy, ensuring that our initiatives resonate with younger generations. Your input will shape programs and policies that empower and engage youth in the Nations we serve.

Primary required skills/credentials to apply for each role:

Familiarity with Carrier and Sekani culture and language
Ability to travel
Self-sufficient/self-starter
Knowledge of Carrier Sekani Family Services’ core programs and services
Must be a member of one of the 11 nations served by CSFS

These roles will be established as non-voting members of the CSFS Board of Directors.
