The Tachick Lake Healing Centre will be a year‑round, land‑based substance-use recovery program designed to uphold the dignity, rights, and wellbeing of First Nations people in northern British Columbia.
The Centre will provide a full continuum of care, including detox services, cultural and clinical treatment, and aftercare supports that keep families safely together whenever possible.
In May and June 2026, construction work continued across the project. Workers made progress on building interiors, electrical and mechanical systems, and site work. Tile installation started in the detox bathrooms and continued in other parts of the buildings.
