CSFS hosted the 4th Annual Strength in Solidarity Men’s Forum from June 22 – 24 at the Prince George Civic Centre. This year’s gathering, Fearless Forum, created space for men to come together through culture, connection, reflection, and shared purpose. Over three days, participants took part in meaningful conversations rooted in traditional knowledge, identity, and cultural resurgence, while exploring more holistic approaches to men’s health and wellness.
Keynote speakers Don Helgeson, Damien Ketlo, Brady Leavold, Guy Felicella, Dr. John Pawlovich, and JR Larose shared powerful reflections that encouraged and inspired participants in different areas of their lives. Through their presentations, speakers explored themes including addictions recovery, cancer awareness, healthy lifestyle choices, and perseverance in the face of adversity. Their stories reminded participants of the strength they carry to overcome setbacks, care for themselves, and fully step into their roles and responsibilities within their families and communities.

“One of the biggest highlights was hearing participants speak after the keynote presentations. Many shared how much they appreciated the speakers and how deeply the stories and messages resonated with them,” shared Clayton Charlie and Tim Erickson, CSFS Fathers Wellness Coordinators, who also helped guide the event agenda. “Seeing those conversations continue afterward showed the impact the conference had.”
Workshops, wellness appointments, and program booths were also available throughout the event, giving participants meaningful opportunities to learn more about CSFS services, ask questions, and connect directly with staff. These interactions helped create a welcoming space for focused conversations about health, healing, culture, family wellness, and other important topics. The workshops also introduced physical wellness tips through engaging activities and presentations.
The insights shared and gathered throughout the forum will help guide CSFS as we continue strengthening men’s health and wellness services across our communities. Thank you to everyone who helped make this gathering a success.
“We would like to thank everyone who attended the Strength in Solidarity Men’s Conference and helped make it such a success. Keep having those important conversations, support one another, and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Taking care of your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health is a sign of strength, so make time for those regular checkups and continue putting your well-being first,” Tim shared.
Keep an eye on the CSFS website and event calendar for upcoming men’s programs, workshops, and community events. There will be more opportunities to connect, learn, and support one another throughout the year.
