The Tachick Lake Healing Centre is a year-round, land-based addictions recovery facility designed to meet the CHRT’s Order 41 standards by providing substantive equality, culturally appropriate care, and the least disruptive measures for First Nations people in northern British Columbia. 

Construction continues to progress steadily. Based on current reporting from construction partners, the project remains on track for completion in spring 2027, with occupancy anticipated in fall 2027.

The Housing, Capital and Infrastructure department is supported by experienced project managers, engineers, and technical team members who collectively oversee a range of complex capital projects. This expertise ensures the Tachick Lake project is being carefully managed, with appropriate oversight, planning, and risk management throughout the construction process.
