About Research at CSFS

CSFS supports Member Nations in their journey to self-determination. Research helps provide Nation-controlled information, guides program development, strengthens cultural knowledge and ensures that every project benefits the communities we serve.

Since the early 2000s, research at CSFS has been guided by the highest standards of ethical practice, cultural protocols and Indigenous research methods. Our work blends Carrier and Sekani ways of knowing with the Tri-Council Policy Statement (TCPS2) and the Tri-Agency Responsible Conduct Framework.
