How To Access

  • Self-referral or referral from the Ministry of Children and Family Development  or a community agency
  • Submit a referral form by email, fax or in person
  • Families attend on-site with their children

About the Program

Wrap Around Parent Guidance and Support offers parent education and hands-on guidance in a safe, supportive and respectful setting. The program focuses on building parent capacity, confidence and resiliency while strengthening relationships between parents and children.

Support is flexible and tailored to each family. Programming draws on evidence-based approaches and adapts to different parenting needs, values and cultures.

This program serves families with children ages 0 to 6.

Support is available to:

  • Families involved with the Ministry of Children and Family Development
  • Families at risk of Ministry of Children and Family Development involvement
  • Families seeking parenting support, education or guidance

Participation is voluntary.

How We Can Support You

Parent education and coaching: Staff model, guide and support parents through everyday caregiving moments.
Learning and skill building: Topics include child development, positive parenting, stress and anger management, coping skills, age-appropriate discipline and access to community resources.
One-to-one and group support: Families receive support in a structured, welcoming environment alongside other parents and caregivers.
Outreach support: In-home outreach helps families apply and strengthen skills learned at the centre.

How to Access Support

You can access the program by:

  • Self-referral
  • Being referred by the Ministry of Children and Family Development
  • Being referred by a community agency

*Families typically attend an initial 12-week program, two days per week for five hours per day. *Ongoing support may continue based on family needs.
