Indigenous community members in CSFS Member Nations and Prince George who don’t have access to a doctor or nurse practitioner, who need to access Primary Care & Allied Health, or help navigating Health Services.

About the Program

Access to primary care should feel steady, respectful and consistent. CSFS Primary Care offers medical support through Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses and allied health staff. Care is provided through an Indigenous lens and shaped by culturally relevant approaches so community members feel safe, heard and supported.

Primary care is also connected to culture-centred programs and services that support wellness alongside medical care.

Our goal is to bring care closer to home, reduce unnecessary travel and support community members with care that reflects their strengths, needs and lived realities.

  • Indigenous community members living in CSFS Member Nations
  • Indigenous people living in Prince George who need primary care
  • Individuals without a regular primary care provider
  • Families seeking ongoing medical support across the lifespan

Eligibility

  • Open to Indigenous community members of all ages who do not have a primary care provider
  • No referral required for most services
  • Some programs or clinics may have waitlists

How We Can Support You

Access to a team of healthcare professionals working together to support your needs
Ongoing, relationship-based care for individuals and families
Prevention, screening, and early detection of health concerns Diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury
Management of chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, high blood pressure)
Mental health and wellness support
Maternal and perinatal care
Support navigating the healthcare system and community services
Referrals to specialists and additional services when needed
Options for in-person and virtual (tele-health) appointments
Culturally safe, respectful, and patient-centred care
