The team works in collaboration with Hereditary Chiefs, Matriarchs, Elders, Knowledge Holders and member Nations to support the drafting of the Skak Ha Ba Bay/Nezkeh Ba Law, prepare for coordination table discussions, and support the structural transformation of services currently being offered.

Chief's Oversight Committee

The Chief’s Oversight Committee’s purpose is to guide the development and implementation of the Skak Ha Ba Bay/Nezkeh Ba Law from a community-based perspective, incorporating the values of traditional governance in the process.

Steering Committee & Working Groups

The Steering Committee informs the draft legislation and supports the transformation of services currently being offered to prepare CSFS service delivery and member Nations for the future. This work is done through seven working committees:

  • Traditional Decision-Making Working Group
  • Organizational Readiness Working Group
