CSFS Bolsters Legal Services Team

We are excited to announce new additions to our Legal Services team, Kyle Parker and Lincoln Hallgren. Welcome to CSFS! Their arrival marks a significant milestone in our commitment to advance Carrier and Sekani health and wellness, and to strengthen the legal initiatives of the organization and the communities we serve.

Kyle brings a wealth of experience in the field of child protection and family law, and will play a pivotal role in developing and fortifying our legal department. As Chief Director of Legal Services he will be contributing immensely to our mission of providing comprehensive and culturally relevant legal support and information.

Lincoln, with a background in Aboriginal Law, joins CSFS as an in-house counsel. His dedication to empowering Indigenous communities is complemented by his work experience and knowledge of Indigenous and Aboriginal Law.

Both Kyle and Lincoln’s expertise will be instrumental in shaping and implementing legal strategies that resonate with our values and aspirations.

Our new legal team members will spearhead initiatives crucial to our growth and impact through:

Developing Carrier Sekani Family Services’ legal department;
Defining Carrier and Sekani Child and Family Services’ laws, jurisdiction, regulations and standards;
Collaborating with our key stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate our legal strategic and operational plans; and
Developing legal education and information programs for our communities.

As we embark on this exciting journey with our new team members, we express gratitude for their commitment to our cause. Together, we will continue to champion Indigenous health and wellness, guided by a commitment to justice, inclusivity, and cultural awareness.
