Prince George business responds to Kamloops Residential School discovery with donation to CSFS

June 4, 2021

The horrific news from the former Kamloops Indian Residential School has many people wondering how they can support Indigenous people at this time. Residential schools have had a lasting and devastating effect on Indigenous people but there are many ways to be supportive and helpful.

One local Prince George business, Eden spas, has reached out to Carrier Sekani Family Services. They have decided to donate $215.00 from the sales of each of their tubs this weekend (June 5-6, 2021) to our organization, which offers a full-spectrum of health and wellness supports for Indigenous children and families, from birth to elder years.

CSFS is extremely grateful and thank them for this kind gesture. Eden Spas is also encouraging other businesses to consider doing the same – to donate to CSFS or any local organization committed to supporting Indigenous people and helping them thrive. We wanted to recognize Eden Spas’ generous act and share their encouragement to support Indigenous health and wellness.
