Carrier Sekani Family Services Working to Keep Clients and Staff Safe Under Provincial Guidelines

November 23, 2020

As the situation surrounding the ongoing pandemic changes, Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS) is assuring our clients that our services will continue and we are taking extra precautions in order to keep everyone safe during these times.

Last week, Dr. Bonnie Henry provided an update on the COVID-19 pandemic in British Columbia, and added further restrictions to the province to help reduce the number of new cases, and to flatten the curve.

Based on the recent provincial guidelines, CSFS will continue to work safely by following these rules:

-       We will work from home when and wherever possible

-       CSFS employees will wear appropriate PPE when servicing clients at their home, schools, or other venues.

-       Proper hygienic practices will be followed, including hand washing and sanitization

-       Only essential travel will be permitted for employees, upon approval from their Executive Director

-       CSFS workers will wear a mask in public spaces, including CSFS offices and other common areas

CSFS takes the health and safety of its staff and community members seriously. The CSFS Emergency Response Committee continues to meet on a bi-weekly basis in order to assess the situation and plan accordingly. On the advice of the committee, staff and provincial guidelines, we will continue to work towards ensuring the safety of clients and staff by creating a safe work environment so that we can continue to serve you. Thanks to their hard work, our services continue today.
