The Vanderhoof Youth Centre Celebrates a Milestone

October 1, 2020

Carrier Sekani Family Services’ Vanderhoof Youth Centre (VYC) celebrates one year in its new location! The number of youth accessing our services has increased, and youth continue to engage with the staff in the activities we plan!

This Friday, the VYC will be hosting a socially-distanced walk through of the space for professionals in Vanderhoof. The walk through is by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling 250-567-0091.
Youth will be encouraged to share memorable moments over the past year at the VYC, and they will also be given a special gift bag from the staff.
The past 6 months of the pandemic have been difficult for everyone – including the youth who visit the centre. Staff have shown unwavering support by continuing to meet their needs while observing physical distancing and engaging in safe health practice.

Currently, the centre offers access on a first-come-first-serve basis, but has cordoned off certain areas to maximize the number of youth allowed in each space. VYC continues to have regular participants and will go forward in the coming months with the same welcoming attitude.

Please join us in wishing the Vanderhoof Youth Centre a happy first anniversary!
