Home Support

Mission and Objective:
With the guidance of our Elders, Carrier Sekani Family Services is committed to the healing and empowerment of Aboriginal families by taking direct responsibility for: health, social and legal services for First Nations People residing in Carrier Sekani Territory.

 

The Home Support Program offers services to families that are involved with the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).  We provide supervised visitations with family members  as well as transportation to and from the visits for family members.  Our main priority is always the safety and well-being of the children in our care.

 

Current Activities and Updates:
The staff in the Home Support Program will be taking First Aid Level One Training, and also Car Seat Safety Training.  With the Car Seat Safety Training the staff will be certified technicians and can assist anyone with installing infant seats, car seats & booster seats correctly in vehicles.  Planning on holding a Car Seat Safety Clinic for anyone interested.
